This is the “Mount Rushmore State”, known by the biggest carved- sculpture mountaint to represent four of the most relevant Northamerican presidents: Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln. Another nickname is “Coyote State”.
The capital is Pierre and some important cities are Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen, Watertown and Brookings. Buffalo herds can be seen in its prairies where they had disappeared.
Many interesting places are found all over Dakota. If you go to keystone, you can see the Grant sculptures at Mount Rushmore, Second American icon after the Statue of Liberty.
Budlands is one of the six National Parks of South Dakota characterized by incredible red-colored lines.
Other places likes Black Hills, Crazy Horse monument, Deadwood, where fas wets meets the present, Custer National Park, Hill City and so on can´t be left for visiting.
Some state symbols are for example: the oficial tree is Picea, the state sport is the American Rodeo, the Jewel is Agata, its motto is: Under god the people rule, the mineral is the Quartz and its music is: Hail, South Dakota!
